I just put my old 12 year old bunny, Emi to sleep, so I know the pain and sadness that will always be with you. It is a jealous want to keep them with you forever, but I don't care. I like to keep them in my heart, in a small box with their ember of life inside. When I want to remember them, I take the box out and blow on the ember, just to make it glow a bit. This keeps them alive and with me forever. And I am doing this right now when I think about Sadie...it keeps my love alive for her.
